• What style of worship services do you offer?
  The worship services at St. John lend themselves to the more traditional style of worship, incorporating choirs (children’s and adult), organ, piano, instrumentalists and handbell ensembles. Additionally, we sometimes utilize congregation members (youth and adult) in brief dramas, reader’s theater and liturgical dance. Our Pastors utilize different styles of preaching- from in-pulpit, traditional sermons to experiential stories told by Biblical characters. We follow the traditional liturgical calendar (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, etc.).
• What should I wear on Sunday morning?
  Our congregation runs the gamut in Sunday morning clothing choices; there are those who wear dresses and suits and those who wear jeans. Regardless of what you wear, you are always welcome to worship with us!
• How do I become a member?
  New member classes are offered throughout the year. Please contact the church office for more information.
• Do I have to be confirmed at your church to join?
  No. We offer a brief series of new member classes for those who wish to join the church. This allows prospective members an opportunity to learn more about the mission, ministries, and history of St. John.
• Is the facility handicap/wheelchair accessible?
   Yes.
• Do you accept members of other denominations at your church?
  Yes. Many of our members are former Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc.
• Can I receive Communion in your church if I am not a member?
  Yes. Our church practices Open Communion. Wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Christ’s Table.
• If I am not baptized, can or will you perform this baptism?
  Our Pastors are always happy to perform baptisms, regardless of the age of the individual. Please call our church office for more information.
• Does your church allow non member weddings?
  It is the policy of St. John to give priority to its members who are scheduling weddings. To schedule a wedding, you must be a member of St. John Church. To view our guidelines and information, click here.
