Visiting Us?
We all were visitors at church at one time, and we remember what it was like. At St. John, you will see people of all ages and stages of life. You will see a variety of attire from blue jeans to coat and ties. Our doors are always open to everyone! When you arrive, look for a greeter or usher in any of our services; they will certainly be looking for you. What are our services like?
Each of our services lasts approximately one hour and we have worked hard to provide you with an experience where you can connect with God. Both of our identical Sunday services lend themselves to the more traditional style of worship, incorporating choirs (children’s and adult), organ, piano, instrumentalists and handbell ensembles. Additionally, we sometimes utilize congregation members (youth and adult) in brief dramas, reader’s theater and liturgical dance. Our Pastors utilize different styles of preaching- from in-pulpit, traditional sermons to experiential stories told by Biblical characters. We follow the traditional liturgical calendar (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, etc.).
What is there for my kids?
We offer Sunday school experiences for children age nursery through twelfth grades. Our children’s registration center is located on the main floor in the Sunday school hallway.
